Abs - Everyone wants toned abs and that’s one of the reasons we included this ab-specific workout
in the set. But the main reason is a strong core is key for being a strong runner and your abdominal wall is one of the major muscle groups in your core. Lets plank, twist and crunch our way to a six-pack and stronger running.
Upper Body - Your arms set the pace, don’t believe me, try running with your hands tied behind your back then try running while pumping your arm swing faster and see the difference. We need a strong upper body to help maintain our pace and form on our runs. If your shoulders fatigue early, your pace
will too. We will hit the chest & back along with the arms in this workout to make sure we get
more core work while building strength & endurance in the arms.
Lower Body - A lot of running injuries are caused due to weak glutes and hamstrings, but you also need quad strength to protect the knees and that is why we focus on those muscles in this workout. Keep running strong and pain-free by building a strong lower body.
Total Body Toning - This workout really rounds out strength training for runners. It is a down and dirty challenge incorporating 2 or more muscle groups for each exercise. Every muscle is hit in this workout,
helping build strength and endurance throughout the body to help get you the running body you need to be the best runner you can be.
